Where's Tri-Bob?
Since MT, Tri-Bob, didn't start his usual weekend thread, I figured I would. What do all you guys and gals have planned for this weekend? I have to help my Aunt with a walk/run she puts on for Marfan Association first thing tomorrow. I'm baby sitting my 2 sons while my wife and daughter go to a baby shower, not for us. Then I might go hit a car show with the boys if it isn't too hot, and hand out fliers for my show. Then we're going to go shoot some clays. I've got 2 new to me 12ga's I want to play with. On Sunday I might take my Vette to a show and hand out some fliers. We'll have to see how things go. I doubt I get any work done to any projects this weekend. How does your weekend look?Ryan

Busy weekend for me....I need to install the new "warranteed" radiator in my truck because the other new one that is only 6 months old developed a slow leak, however, that won't happen this weekend. I've been prepping for the audition I had today for a feature film and the one I have Monday for a new TV show, plus I have a shoot tomorrow for a short film and a rehearsals on Sunday for a scene in my class on Monday night.
I've gathered most of the parts to lower my truck 3" but just haven't had time to get them installed. Between my "survival" gig and preparing for my "dream" gig, I've become a professional juggler!!! Juggler of schedules, that is! Life is good, though! Still looking for an AFFORDABLE off-site space to do the "noisy" work on my '37. I had plans to do a bit more work on the old Kenworth front that's sitting here,,but the owner turned up mid morning and took away the cab,,and then we had another visitor,,who left just in time for us to go into town to a meeting,,so,,there goes Saturday..Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???

Keep looking Randy, there is a place with your name on it you just have to find it. I found out after I moved into my shop that my street is the only one in this community that is zoned for un limited noise. It's weird, I'm on a industrial street completely surrounded by homes, apartments and a church kitty corner. Guess this street was here years before anything else and was so far out that it was zoned for noise and heavy industry. Now we are in the center of everything. I usually shut things down by 11:00 or so I start feeling guilty about using the chop saws and air hammers much after 9:30 or 10:00. Never on Sunday before noon or Id have the whole congregation after me!
I know a lot of us are having a hot summer already but I know for a fact San Diego is hotter this week than anywhere on earth! Its just sucking the go juice right out of me. It probably doesn't help that I work in a tin can. But is it warmer than 95 anywhere else? And don't give me that "Its a dry heat" line. Had to beat dehydration tonight and hydrate with some Rocky Mtn. liquid wrench. The young guns came by and we had smoked pulled pork and decided to talk our way through tech night opposed to actually working through the night. Yep the heat thing!
I don't know why the flood gates have opened but I'm cranking on the seats. Between the phone, bending metal, and ordering parts I'm going peddle to the metal around the shop. Packing and boxing product all day Saturday to get caught up for Monday. It couldnt get busy when its cool could it?
Sunday is Boat day once again. I found some badly rusted exhaust elbows on the 302 so off they came. Of course there is a few thing I can up grade now that they are out of the way. I'm going to install new sending units in the fuel tanks. Then change out the change over valve to an electric valve instead of a manual valve. New fuel line and filters and if I can squeeze it in I have a new impeller to install in the kicker motor. That should get me very close to the water once again. Have a great and safe weekend guys and think.... COOOOOOLLast edited by M.T.; 07-26-2014 at 01:13 AM.

It was hot for 3-4 days last week and now it's beautiful. I'm not going to cry, but WTF is up with this weather?
Jerry, what kind of 392 stuff do you have?
Tri-Bob, good luck with your boat and hopefully you can beat the heat!Ryan

It's only 80 right now but the humidity is like Florida. Guess a lightning storm killed a guy on the beach last night? What is going on with the weather? I hope the Government isn't letting the HAARP program get out of control like everything else they run. No politics so I wont go there! Guess Im glad that rule is in place, I could type my fingers too bloody stumps on that topic. Like everything else, time will tell.Last edited by M.T.; 07-28-2014 at 01:16 PM.
