I took my time and marveled at each picture, was a wonderful "trip" from right here in my armchair! Thank you so much for sharing your vacation and your family with us. And I'm glad you only know the 1 way of posting pics as it gave you a chance to add a comment or description to aid the viewer in understanding what we were seeing. I know it takes longer and I want to thank you for making all the time in posting and sharing with us!

Thanks all, looks like I made the right choice whether to post the pictures or not.

Whip, we had fantastic weather for those two weeks, Only 2 days of light rain, one while in Dunedin (went on the train trip where weather was fine) and other was on the last day in Christchurch.

One thing that amazed us was how saturated the ground was underfoot. Talking to locals they were saying some of the rivers still had not dropped back to normal levels for over a month, so we felt lucky.
