Spare tire release rod
In moving around the country, I have lost the steel rod that you insert into the hole back by the rear license plate to release the spare tire. None of the boneyards around here say they have one. I figure they just don't want to sell anything but motors and transmissions....big money. Can anyone lead me to one of these critters? Paying a reasonable price for one and the freight won't be a problem. 1997 Ford F150. Thanks

Richard, give these old boys a call and see what they come up with. Emailing ain't the best idea cause they rarely check it.
