Funny story, and what we'd like to see as "frontier justice," but the actual attacker's name was Tracey Attaway of Waynesboro, Georgia. There was nothing in the actual police report that he was beaten to a pulp - but he did get life in the graybar hotel. CPL Duggan had three stitches at the hospital, and was released. Duggan was well enough to go back to a nearby Walmart store the next day and make a Toys or Tots donation.

Although the original story has been embellished by some amateur reporter, we all wish that the Marines had done what Marines are able to do - beat that idiot's arse to a pulp.

The videos at THIS URL are worth watching.

In one video, CPL Duggar says his biggest worry was that Attaway ruined his uniform.

Depending on where purchased a USMC dress blue blouse can be over $300 brand new so it's easy to understand why the corporal was worried about it's condition.

That was a nice story. Too bad it is fluffed. And yeah the dress blues are expensive. It's pretty crazy those men have to buy all that stuff and are expected to live off their wages.

Ryan, enlisted service members get several different types of uniform allowances. Today's rate for initial allowance for Marines is $1,823.51. I'm not sure that subsequent allowances cover knife damage, though.

I don't think that allowance covers half of their uniforms. My brother has only been out for about a year or so. He could tell you more than I can about it. I remember him telling me what all his gear and uniforms cost and it was pretty crazy everything they had to buy to do their jobs.
