An easier way? I guess I could just post up pics 5 at a time and use the pics straight from the camera.. but the ones from the museum would all be dark and less detail.
Or I could link to an outside source like flikker as I had an account but I don't like the way that "works".. or I could hope Brent pops a few extra grand for another server to store it all...
But I'll just do what I can with what I have to work with, in this case I'm more concerned with sharing the experience with everyone and have been going the extra steps . Hope you both are enjoying the efforts!

Yes I enjoyed your efforts-and others efforts, no matter what site they uploaded to before posting here--------------however, there are only a dozen or so active members posting anything here anymore and would be 50% less if it wasn't for the 3 word deally---------
I am around lots of auto events-shows, cruises, races, shops----and I take a lot of pictures of stuff that I'm sure others would like to see------I don't want a link to some other site, I want to post them here for this group to see--------
And I also take lots of pics of different machine process that maybe are being discussed by people , but often by people that only have an slight inkling of what they are talking about( if any bit at all), different assembly procedures, techniques of checking clearances, examples of new parts, etc--------
Anyway, so I don't overload Brents server, I won't continue with this post except to point out that even Bill agrees now---------
I can't wait for Monday to roll around so I can see all the Ebay garbage-----------

Jerry, it doesn't take me long to clean up and re-size and it gives me another opportunity to see ( and really see!) what's in each picture.
To each his own I guess... or as they say, it is what it is. While I understand your complaint(s) and the issue, I also understand there is a heavy cost to do as you ask. I'm sure we'll get there someday, but for now, this is what we work with.
I don't own the site and my meager financial contributions certainly won't pay for larger servers! To those guys who pitched a fit and left.. I was sorry to see some of them go.. but it's better that they left and we don't have to listen to the same whining again and again.
I'm sure all of us will like to see the site advance and get better and better... but the last time Brent did that it put the place in such turmoil.. we still haven't recovered and now he's gunshy of making any changes.. people told him to leave it alone and now we get what they asked for! And of course that is all just my humble opinion / point of view. Having said all that, I think it's STILL the best car guy site on the web! The crew here is friendly and helpful and generally non-judgemental. It keeps me coming back again and again.. I hope you stick around and remain helpful to those less "technical"!

I think the site works just fine.... Doesn't take long at all to resize a few pics! No idea what it takes or what it would cost to do all the stuff to make the site work the way some want with pictures, I'm sure Brent would accept a large donation to get it done, though! Then, as Mike mentioned, changing anything on the site would create another mass exodus of members!
Just an observation, but I'd guess more people are put off by some implying that all the rest of us are too stupid to know what clearances and machine processes are, then there's also a few of us that have machinists we trust to do it right and don't have to worry about it! I do know there's some people who don't post much anymore because they're tired of being put down because what they do isn't "professional"!!!!! I feel the forum is best served by members who encourage each other to do what they do to the best of their abilities. Offering advise and the "this worked for me" stuff is IMO a lot more conducive to a smooth running forum then put-downs and smart _____ comments---but then that's just my opinion.Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Now that is funny!
Yep. And I seem to move 1 thing and it displaces something else with 1/2 of that landing on the workbench and then I forgot where I was going with this other thing and I'll see something else that...
