Another Friday in the works...
I got in from fishing this morning around 3:30am so I'm still sporting my sea legs. It usually takes about a day after a good night of watching the lights bob around on the horizon for my mind to believe I'm back on land. This Friday so far has been a wash! The 90 plus degree weather is another good excuse to lay low for awhile today. So this evening when it cools and I can walk a straight line again I'm back to finishing up a couple more seat frames for Monday morning shipping. I need to finish up a few more Model A roll pans and get them off Monday as well. So my plans are to lay low and stay cool during the day, and hit it hard in the cooler evenings.
What are you guys doing this weekend?Last edited by M.T.; 10-03-2014 at 02:46 PM.

We've finally got a little cool front thru here so I'm gonna be Cruising the Fairlane a little this weekend. Kind of a shake down Cruise for a neat Show and Shine at Lake Livingston's "Wolf Creek Park" - - - good memories from there since our old Club of the late 70s were the originators of that Rod Run..

Going to a little car get together on Saturday morning (probably about 20 cars or so), we’ll cruise in together and park near the waterfront. Then Sunday I’m putting a mechanical brake switch on my under floor brake pedal.
After having my brake lights stop working due to a bad connection, I installed a LED inside my third brake light that I can see in the rear view mirror. Discovered my hydraulic brake light switch is not as sensitive as I would like it to be, sometimes you gotta hit the brakes pretty hard to make it light up. So, I’m adding a mechanical switch in parallel with the hydraulic one, you can never be too sure..
I know some of you won’t believe this, but I may be a wee bit on the anal side. LOL!

A trip to the wrecking yard tomorrow morning with a couple of friends....the afternoon will probably be shot BSing back at the shop after we're done looking around. Sunday is the day the Grandkids will be over. So it looks like a couple of day break from working on the Dodge.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Took a vacation day today. Worked on a couple customers cars, 2nd job, and then spent the rest of the day working on my 51 Dodge. Finally got a door and fender in primer, ready to start blocking. Tomorrow I'm going with a friend to the Pumpkin Run, big car show and swap meet. Mainly going to the swap meet, need some parts.

My wife took our married daughter to the Great Mall in Minneapolis/St Paul for a long weekend of shopping, so Bones & I have the place to ourselves for most of four days. Got the radiator mounts on the '32 welded in today, and tomorrow will probably get some hood latches in place, with the rear ones needing a tab welded on the frame. All in all, just a guys weekend in the country.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I started the weekend on Thursday evening by going to my wife's nephew's visitation. Then on Friday we went to his funeral. Bad deal. He was 18 and made a bad decision. Saturday we borrowed my cousin's trailer and drove up to Cedar Falls and brought back a straight truck box. We got it unloaded and kind of positioned. Sunday we had to go grocery shopping and we took the kids to a park to enjoy some fall weather. Today I moved some fence posts, moved the box in position, and helped my brother put some fascia on my parent's house. We'll have to finish that tomorrow, then move the 40 to storage.Ryan
