Things that go "Bump" in the Day !

Thought I'd share this one with Y'all since it is kinda different and some what funny.

The Wife and I left the house yesterday to eat lunch and as we were crossing the large bridge on FM 1097, we began hearing this very loud Bump Bump Bump Bump on the drivers side of the car. Of course several things comes to mind like maybe we're dragging a dead limb, or cat or maybe something even worse like a mechanical malfunction. The steady bumping continued and as I got across the bridge to where I could pull off. When I started slowing down the rhythm didn't slow down but continued at a steady beat even after I stopped. I looked into my driver's side outside mirror to see if there were anyone behind me and that's when I diagnosed the problem. Something had been placed on the center shifter console and had been pushed back until it was pressing against the automatic mirror adjustment button. Obviously it had reached the maximum adjusting point and the screw gear or whatever drives it was just slipping over the notch again and again and again and again UNTIL we moved the item that was pressing against it. I gave a big Sighhhh and we laughed and continued undamaged and wiser.

So Em, did you hand your wife's purse back to her and suggest a different resting place, or just smile and go on?

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

haaha,,had something like that happen a couple of weeks back.. driving down the road,,and hit the switch to adjust the mirror to suit me,,after Lynda had been driving the car,,and the switch stuck.. Wondered what the funny click, click, click, clunk noise was for a minute,,before I realised I couldn't see out the mirror,,and the mirror was twitching.. hehe ooops..
