My home computer kept spitting out the CHR this morning. Now at the shop it seems to be chewing its food extra slow. Anyone else running slow today or is it all the security filters I have plugged into this thing?

Another week has slid by by quickly. The first week in a long time that I haven't given any thought at all to the weekend. I suppose being the Chargers got taken apart last night I wont be watching football so it frees up a whole day to enjoyment. Humm, what the heck does that mean?

Like you said, this week flew by. Tomorrow I'm going down to play farmer and my wife decided taking my 2yr old son is a good idea. We'll see how that goes.

I'm sure I would be getting a lot more done with out it! LOL I was just wondering if it was just my antiquated equipment or if it was a greater issue than just me?

The El Camino is all loaded up with treasures to go to the Swap Meet in Tucson tomorrow (I'll be pulling out of here about 5 AM). Hopefully I'll have less to unload when I get back than what I'm leaving with.

OH, ?the Friday thread? - - - how sneaky was that ? Our Subdv is having their Fall "Fish Fry" Picnic tomorrow so that's a must for pigging out but after that as little as possible to get thru until Monday. Being Retired, I'm not a fan of the weekends. I like it better when all the Yuppies go back to work.

my neighbor assured me he had plenty of experience hanging garage door openers .. said he used to be in the business , . after 2 hours of not getting my door to go up he finally admits he helped others install garage door openers .. he handed them screws and tools as they did the work ... HA !!!

Did you balance the door (adjust the springs)?

Manual doors will have the springs set heavy to assist the lift, making it easier to raise the door by hand. Operated doors need the springs adjusted so the tension is equal going up and down allowing the operator to work evenly without strain.

If the door is easier to raise by hand than it is lowering, you'll need to loosen the spring tension a little until the movement up and down is as close to equal as possible. If the door is easier to lower by hand than raise you'll need to tighten the spring tension a little until the movement up and down is as close to equal as possible.

Hoss, I've got to share this story (as briefly as I can) with you. My B.I.L. was installing a automatic garage door opener and his neighbor across, a good friend of mine, realized that his remote was the same as my friends TV. It was about this time that I got a call from my friend asking "Is your brother in law a good sport and does he have a good sense of humor?" - - - I said "yes" and then he told me that once he realized why his TV was turning on and off he started messing with my BIL by pointing the remote toward the garage door and clicking. Bottom line is that everytime my BIL would open the door my friend would close it and visa versa. When he was telling me this story I almost lost my breath from laughing so hard. Sorry bout the hi-jack FOLKS.
