Nope, got to get at it!!!! Couple things I need to make some progress on this winter! Actually did get a bit done today, did some work on a pair of fenders and hood for a buddy, he came over today and we took them to his place then came back and started moving a few things around in the garage, cleaned tools and put them away, etc. No racing on tomorrow so I'll more then likely attack it with a small bit of gusto then!!!!!!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

Not a bad idea, Roger, only I sold my scaffolding, and the cherry picker won't fit the job. Got the hangers anchored to the wall above the fireplace, and the mirror sitting on the mantle; only have to lift it four inches, but am waiting on the boss to get back to make sure the wires on the mirror go onto the hooks - I hate fishing for those hooks behind pictures and mirrors blind.

Small bottle jack on the hearth or the Porta power with the spreading jaws should get ya up 4". Tie a small string to the hook and through chain and drape it over the top of the Mirror. Should work as a guide? Snip it off when done and throw the rest of the string behind the mirror.Bob, Bob, & Bob

Work weekend, so Friday spent about 4 hours gardening/ Fall cleanup. Raking the old fashion way, with a rake not a leaf blower! Then light pruning back of trees and roses, followed by rebedding with winter flowers. Now the place looks nice for the relative's visit! Actually had quite a few older folks walk by and smile that we we working using hand tools and not weed wackers and air blowers, much quieter and better exercise! I think the younger kids walking buy were confused by the rakes as they probably have never seen one used!Last edited by stovens; 11-23-2014 at 10:52 AM.

Well, we got the mirror hung; the Boss got home, and while I lifted the mirror, she reached behind it with the yard stick and made sure the wires were on the hook, and I let it down. It looks decent, and she is happy, so I consider it a win.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.

And I got the house back up.. more or less...
Then today my buddy Mark came over this morning and says, "hey. let's fix that roof leak on the shop while the weather is holding".. I hadn't planned on that but I had snuck in a quick ride in the coupe...
So, 2 unplanned jobs got done.. and the 3 I started back in June are still waiting!
Well... maybe next weekend?!?!? Oh, isn't the procrastinators meet next Saturday?

Some of you guys are being quite productive, good on you.
I actually was able to make the good progress I had hoped as well. Got the wood out of the top of the '32 sedan, and off to the fabricator for replacement pieces. Got the mock up short block out and the complete engine in, so now we can fine tune the suspension with full weight on. And pulled together most of the parts I've got so I can figure out what I'm short of. Next week it goes off to my buddy Greg to get some sheet metal repair done. Gotta love progress....Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

That's some interesting patina on that old steel..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Cool looking ol' sedan, Bob! It's gonna be a sweet ride with the flattie, and room for another couple or a pair of grand kids, too! Bonus!Roger

Nothing near as cool as Bobs project but I got the roof lopped of the Off road VW.
got some of the ragged cuts cleaned up and the cage started so it was productive. I dont know why I get my self involved with barter work other than it just looks like it would be fun to do! Stupid me!
