Yeesh,,Roger.. Glad it was you,and not me.. I have run foul of those who think that their rear orifice emits sunbeams,in the past,,usually in a late model European car,,and yes,,your description of him and his whole persona fit the bill.. hehe... I think they get thrown our way,,just to test our mettle.. In saying that,,I once knew a guy with a Lambo,,and ya couldn't meet a nicer dude...Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???

reminds me back when we owned this 65 VW Notchback in the late 80's early 90's & it's been called just about every foreign car name you can think of. Best one was when we stopped for gas on the way to a Magic Dragon Car Show how in Southern Missouri. Wife came out of the station laughing her ass off. She looked at me & said, "Guess what some guy thought the Notchback was"??? It seems he thought it was a chopped, channeled, sectioned & altered 62-65 Nova I guess if you look real hard w/your eyes half closed you'd see it, but I never did and to this day I still don't see it......joe

When my '37 was on the road there would be an occasional being who thought it was a PT Cruiser.......... Their bodies will never be found!!!"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Now here is an excellent example of what some would call " a Rat Rod " due to the matt paint finish but how wrong " they " would be. For me this car is as finished as a high gloss shiny flaked car of the same make. Thanks for posting the photo of it.
I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Randy beat me to the first thought that popped into my mind in your original post.............he's a clever fellow that R2.
The sad thing is the guy probably thought (until you corrected that) he was showing his vast automotive knowledge by "speaking the lingo..." of your segment of the auto lust universe. Shows you the power of the "popular" media to misinform...........Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
