It looks good mate...and yes; it's a good buzz to know that whatever you're paying toward the mortgage is increasing your equity, not someone else's.

Good to see too that you've prioritised the fencing to keep the kids safe, and made a good job of it too!
I've done a lot of fencing over the years...it's not so much a science as an art, and there's virtually nothing about what you've built that I would have done differently.

What you've got now is a safe area for the kids to play, and a warm secure place for you and yours to live.
    Good luck to you all!

Outbuildings can be added later as time and finances permit.

A wee story: A few years back a mate, 'Sparky' Parkes, bought his first home, couldn't afford a car-shed, but we found one a mile or so away that the owner wanted demolished.
We borrowed a tip truck, backed it into the shed, built a frame at the headboard of the truck, cut the shed off the foundations, lifted the tray, (which lifted the front of the shed off the ground,) built another frame at the tailboard of the tray, dropped the tray, (after putting 4"x4" blocks on the chassis behind the cab,) that lifted the entire shed off the ground, then drove very slowly around to Sparky's, backed the truck into place, and reversed the process.
    Voila!
    Instant shed!
And all for the cost of a mornings work and a few beers.
It doesn't get much cheaper than that.

Thanks Johnboy! Yeah, the fence was a big to do for us so the kids aren't on the roads as we live on a corner lot. They see open yard and get to running. I may build a pole type shed if the city will allow it. I happen to have an a good stack of galvanized type tin, but we'll see how things go.

My plans are to have the 40 and my mom's 68 Mustang be the only projects in my garage this winter. I'm going to try to not work on customer trucks either. We'll see how that works out. I use that extra money to buy car and truck parts. Haha

Mitchellville is where we used to live. Now we're in Prairie City. We're in Iowa.(IA) You'd have to look for a while if you were looking in MD and TN.

Congratulations. I love the architectural details in older homes. They don't build them like that today.

No, they sure don't. The amount of wood in this house is crazy too. Now, the insulation needs some upgrading. Haha
