Gotta say you had me scratching my head on that one, but then I read the "...that my mother bought the year I was born....", and did the math, badda bing, badda boom 1929 to 2015 yields 86 years. I'm awake......

Got a soft spot for the 29 Sport Coupe. My grandfather had one and when I was 16 I asked and he promised to sell it to me when he wanted to switch. Damned old fool traded it on a POS Austin A40 without even telling me. I was so mad at him I hardly spoke to him for months. I had the money saved up too.

I too am one that hasn't been visiting very often. I would come home from work and occasionally try to log on and it would take way to long. I would just move onto the next thing on my little list I wanted to check on. It seems there aren't enough hours in a day for me, busy trying to make a little on the side, plus work and the kids makes it tough. Seems they always need something that's $100 plus dollars. Takes it's toll on hot rod parts, that's for sure. I love hot rods, been around them my whole life, I can say it has cooled a little in the last couple years. The hot rod only gets out for a short put around town and to one major show a year. I kinda wonder what has happened, but I know. I have been trying to do the family thing and the car funds have been reapportioned to other interests, that are cheaper and more fun for the family. Kids are the most important thing I can do and as such try to do what's right for them. They won't need me and the wife forever like they do currently. I will soon get back to finishing my toy project, and start another. So for now, I will check in and see what's up and if I can help I will.

I'm proud of you! As my dad used to tell me and I would tell my son and now he tells his children, "children are the best toy I have ever gotten!".

I'm in the same boat as you. Although my kids are young, I'm trying to knock a couple more projects out so I can concentrate on building them some things they are already wanting. It's tough to do it all for sure!
