Remember when your VW bug had a air hose from the spare to the window wiper fluid?
My Mustang had what looked like a foot lever emergency brake, but it actually it was a manual pump for wiper fluid.
Remember high beams on floor board button
    Swivel seats in the 442's?

I absolutely fell in love with the 68 Charger when it came out in 67 and I still think it's one of the best designs to ever come out of Detroit. I had been looking at a 68 GTA Mustang and before that a 67 Z28. At the time I didn't have the money for the Z, a little over 3 grand as I recall, so I waited until the 69's came out and got a pretty good deal on the 68.

Remember? Hells Bells, I used one this morning! I stab the floor on the Jeep before I remember the danged switch is with the turn signal! Young whipper snappers!

I hear ya...the '47 Ford sedan, the '49 Morris Minor, and the '51 Ford bus all have the dip-switch on the floor.
And frankly, in my opinion, it's where they should be...a better place by far.

When all GM V8's used the same points, condenser, rotor cap and distributor cap.
When the auto part stores used paper catalogs and alot of the older parts guys didn't even need them, did it by memory.
Dem guys that always had a used Holley to sell you, later you discovered they came from "Midnight Auto Supply" home of "Five Fingered Discount".
Re-refined motor oil in glass jugs at some service stations, perfect for cars that used alot of oil.
    Breaking in chrome rings.
Domed pistons in anything high performance.
    Da "Pink" rods.
    1/4,1/2,3/4 and "Full" race cams.
When you didn't own a single metric tool.
You could pull an engine in 15 minutes.
Ring jobs without pulling the engine finished in one day.
