Atta girl Rosie..............don't cut the ol' man no slack!!
Glad you're doing better......Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Cut me no slack!
Keep me in check!
Hey; I thought us fellas were supposed to stick together!
You're both traitors to your sex!
And I'm sure there's still a death penalty out there for traitors...
The turnaround in Rosie's condition has been nothing short of totally amazing; from bloody near dead a week ago to (almost) back to her usual self in a few short days.
A heart-felt thanks to doctors, nurses, hospital systems, and boffins in white coats that work all day in laboratories.
There's a drug/compound out there that the boffins have concocted that can seal ulcers in the gut lining; thereby preventing the patient from bleeding to death internally, and it's without invasive surgery.
And we're both pleased that our local surgeons had knowledge of it.
All good.johnboy

Well,,it was a kool few days..Even though we had to use an everyday driver,it was still a good weekend.. Caught up with all the usual old...sorry...youngish friends from near,,and far,,and had a ball... Brewery tour, photo shoots,,poker run, drinking,,eating, hilarity,, more drinking,,hilarity,,stupidity,,fancy dress,,car display,,and ................games.. Hmmm,,we have some sick twisted minds,,with the likes of Colin Prouse, and a few others in the association.. I only took 4 pix the whole time we were there,,but Lynda took the best part of 800,I think.. Please,,imagine,if you can five competitors with zimmer frames,,all a bit loose in the construction,,with ankles tied to the back legs,of the frame,,and having to sprint/shuffle to the finish line about 30 metres away..Hilarious,to say the least..
We also had a shooting comp.. Yup,,just a .22 cal. air rifle, but poppin baloons was the idea.. Darn thing had a scope on it.. can't shoot stuff all with a scope,,hardly ever used one,so,,never did any good there.. Couldn't hit a cow on the arse with a wet spade.. I think it's fairly normal for me to come home from these events with dirty clothes, and bruises, from arsing over during said event, and this year was no exception.. Also ended up with a bloody cold,,which is why I'm typing this reply at 10.25,this morning.. Not sure where it's happening next year,,but it could be another fine event in the Waikato region.. Looking forward to it..
Was good to see Johnboy and Rosie there,on saturday..Extra good to see Rosie was much better than she had been.. Don't scare us like that,girl..Micah 6:8
If we aren't supposed to have midnight snacks,,,WHY is there a light in the refrigerator???
Robin.

If you go to an NZ NSRA Nationals and don't enjoy yourself it's fully your own foolish fault.
Even though we were much quieter this year than we have been in the past, we both still had a lot of fun and an enjoyable weekend.
Just meeting with old friends makes it worthwhile...anything over and above that is a bonus.
And every year for the last nearly twenty years we've been members there has been bonuses.
Thanks Robin; She didn't do it on purpose...believe me!johnboy
