This would be your NSRA-NZ Nationals weekend, right? Where is it held this year? You say "Goin' East", so that leads me to think North Island, over towards the coast? Best regards to Colin, Sharpie, Coxy & Lynne, Gary & Elaine Pulley, and others I'm sure I'm forgetting.Roger

Yep; NZ NSRA Nationals at Dannevirke this year...our fortieth.
We still don't know if we'll be there or not; She had a bit of a 'medical misadventure' which has landed her in hospital.
Extremely serious (think fatal,) if not caught; but this was caught.
Haemoglobin levels usually hover around 84. Under 80 is serious. She's levels fell to 71. So it's serious.
Into hospital, pumped full of blood, antibiotics and all sorts of other stuff.
She's out now...but we're going to see how She feels to-morrow. As Roger can attest; our Nationals can get a bit, well, exuberant.
So dependant upon her condition...

So sorry to hear that Rosie's been ailing! I can attest that the NZ Nationals are NOTHING like any NSRA/GoodGuys event in the USA, but more like a three night cruise of a big local car club that's by invitation only - good friends/acquaintances who may not see each other more than once a year, but share lots of history and common bond. There're quite a number who don't get much sleep....Roger

We didn't have the bus packed, a deliberate move on my part; it might have been seen as presumptuous and put pressure on her, where I wanted it to be entirely up to her if She wanted to go or not.
So we got away about 9:15, I did the packing while She sat, watched, and criticised.
We arrived Dannevirke about 1:15, where She got a bit embarrassed at the reception She was given...it's nice to know that people really do care and are concerned for her...just like on here only more so.
She was in bed by 8:00, and sound asleep when I came back about 9:00.
Sunday we didn't go on the arranged tours or runs, just loafed around giving her time to recuperate a bit more...by Sunday night it was She who insisted we stayed on for the quiz; so bedtime was around 10:00.
By this morning She was pretty well her old self; colour in her cheeks and giving cheek back as good as She got.
It's a bloody huge relief to see her like that...I've always thought She was a keeper...and I want to keep her.
Many thanks for the kind words.Last edited by johnboy; 10-25-2015 at 08:29 PM. Reason: sPeling misteak
