New Shop Truck
After buyin a new Dodge pick up in January, thinking it would be my last new truck.
Well have racked up way too many miles on it already this year 24000 + so thought I'd get and older beater to run parts runs etc.
Found this this am, and will go pick it up Friday.
Frame off, with a little 350 in it and got a funny thing under the carb. Anybody know what that is?When I get to where I was goin, I forgot why I went there>

Hell yes, time to put the Dodgy away in the cupboard and play with the '40.. Awesome looking panel van but something in my head tells me that once you stylize it to your tastes, somebody will make you an offer you can't refuse. Can you give us a better photo of the engine bay please Don but my guess is a Plaxton type blower. Excuse if I have spelt the name wrong.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

Oh my, what beautiful eye candy, I think the Weiand Street Blowers are the cats whiskers on a SBC and one is towards the top of my wish list for my T Roadster but running the triple carbs on top. I will be keen to read what you think of the set up and how streetable the engine runs with it Don.I maybe a little crazy but it stops me going insane.

It's very streetable Mark. The "Sedan Delivery" not panel has 6000 miles on it with out any issues. I know the builder and his work is flawless. He's told me that with the 2:79 gear in the 9" it'll cruise all day @ 75 clickin just about 2200 rpm, but get on the LOUD PEDAL and it's @ a hundred B4 ya know it.When I get to where I was goin, I forgot why I went there>

Don, thanks for the chassis and engine shots. I have always wondered how far the blower belt hookup would be in front of the engine. If you remember my motor is forward enough that I felt it would not make it to run a stock fan between my Be Cool radiator and the block. Guess that also rules out a blower unless I do a lot of modifying. Is the firewall a stock one or is the curve in back of the ignition an extra mod to allow a little setback? How about some interior and dash shots? Is it a true sedan delivery in back or has someone put a rear seat in? Nice Ride!

Don, that interior should make you feel like you are driving a brand new 40 right from the factory. And then you start the engine and have to say "We are not in Kansas anymore" or any other flathead country. Bet your first ride will be grins from ear to ear.
I wanted to complain about this NZ slang business, but I see it was resolved before it mattered. LOL..
