The wife needs some prayers
Please say a prayer for Denise. Last week I took her to the hospital, they believe she had a stoke & they put her on some new meds & we had hoped all would be ok. Well I just had the ambulance take her to SLU Hospital. She didn't feel well this morning & when I came back home she was in the bathroom throwing up blood. Hoping it's just the new blood thinner they just put her on. And like the Dog Mamma she is, she told me to take care of her fur babies before I headed to the hospital. So that's why I'm wasting time making a post instead of heading to the hospital, gotta wait on the dogs & clean up......joeLast edited by TooMany2count; 11-27-2015 at 12:53 PM.

Prayers from Kansas, Joe. Hoping that the blood thinners just need some "tweaking" to get the right balance. Regardless, prayers for complete healing, and being home to host Christmas.Roger

Roger, I was shocked when I looked up the drug they gave her "Eliquis" when used by itself & other drugs. Then there's other health concerns they should have w/the health of the person taken in. Denise had like 8-10 on the side effects && then there's the health problems Denise has that should have thrown a bucket of RED FLAGS that should have had the docs thinking if she was a good or bad candidate for Eliquis. From what I read she should have NEVER been given that drug. I told the doctor she'll NEVER talk that drug or any drug in its family.......joeLast edited by TooMany2count; 12-02-2015 at 09:27 AM. Here's an update, She does a bleeder in her stomach, why/how they don't know yet. They pumped 6 pints of blood into her to stabilize her because of blood lose & was transferring her to Mercy Hospital(St John's Mercy) because SLU had no beds available in ICU & the doctor wanted her to get immediate care. Told her I would follow her to the Mercy Hospital but was told, no go home take care of the dogs & wait until they get me in a room. Damn woman is more worried about the dogs & me then herself....joeLast edited by TooMany2count; 11-27-2015 at 02:22 PM.

Well, at least they've identified the problem, know generally what they're dealing with and have a course of immediate action. Recalling johnboy Norton's wife, Rosie, who had what sounds like a similar issue, and they had her bouncing back in short order. Continued prayers coming your way, Joe. Thanks for the update.Roger

Yep; five weeks ago now. But She's as good as lovely now; day before yesterday She was out mowing what we refer to as her lawns, a two-and-a-half hour job.
A remarkable recovery in a few short weeks.
Once the doctors have sussed what the problem is they have some remarkable things they can do.
So while our thoughts are with you and Denise, and hoping for a speedy recovery; we hope and pray that the doctors get it right.
All the best from New Zealand mate; our thoughts are with you both.
