Printable Magnets
I rarely have something to share, but I came upon this (and I think the possibilities are limitless)-how about using these "Springs" on Car Doors? Or, self closing (and locking) Trunks? Whatever the case, this is pretty cool!

You're over my head in the magnetic arena, but watching their video there is no magnetic action involved in changing from the repel to latched modes. It's a manual rotation. Seems to me that it would be pretty simple to use a normal remote, which engages a push-pull servo to accomplish the rotation, so making them remote controlled shouldn't be that difficult, seems to me....Roger
