    la flooding

first prayers for those struggling down there. lot of my friends got caught in this one.
i see people brooming water and mud out of their house on tv. we went through this twice. the second time i learned the first thing to do is get the hose and wash all of it out. everything is already wet but getting the mud out is the first thing. we washed out the house and set fans up as soon as power came back . second is a case of w40. we hosed my shop out and soaked everything in wd40. amazing what can be salvaged this way
it's a hard thing to deal with but with help from friends and the community you will get through it.

I feel for those folks and hope that they can get back to normal as soon as possible. Natural disasters are hard to deal with as well as the trolls

we lived on the lake so we just got high water. 6ft in the house 4 in th shop. but folks on the river sometimes come back to nothing. they literally loose everything. we dried out but at least we had something to dry out . waiting to hear from a friend who may have lost his shop and cars .

Damn, that sucks. Hope everything turns out ok. I've been through a couple of tornadoes, but with minimal house damage and a couple of earthquakes when we lived in Ca.

To be clear, Shine, you're talking about a previous time with the high water, not in your current Bluff Dale location, correct? Seems to me it would be hard to get a foot of high water in Bluff Dale, but I've been wrong before.

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
