Getting an itch
Kinda new to this site, signed up a long time ago but never hung around much until recently. SR.C was my regular hang out until they changed everything and all the regulars left. I miss the way it used to be.
Anyway, I've been into cars all of my life and have owned a lot of very cool rods through the years. As I get older, I'm starting to wonder how many "Hot Rod" summers I've got left? It's scary to think about now that I'm 69 years old. I've always wanted a 32 roadster and I hate to go through my life without ever owning one at least once. All my friends that have one say owning a 32 roadster really put the fun back into hot rodding. So, today I decided to put my Nomad on the market and start the search for a 32. Exciting huh? The hunt for a new car is always the best part! I'm a fussy guy when it comes to my cars, so I know pretty much what to look for. I hope to find one with a traditional look but with a modern flare. I've always liked the look of the "Old Crow" that Don built a few years ago. Awesome car.
So, I'll drop by here occasionally and update my search....

Happy Deuce Hunting! Glad to see you here, others you know are lurking around. You have of course seen Don's new Old Crow. Perhaps you should talk to him about a similar car, bet it could happen.

Thank you all for the greetings! This site is gonna take a little getting used to... it's a little cluttered and busy but I'm sure I'll find my way around.
HEY SHINE!! Good to hear from you! I too have missed all the great exchanges we've had, you were always quick to offer help and I learned a lot from you. I hope to run into a few of the old SRC guys. I talked to Don a few months ago, he's always good for at least a 30 minute BS session.
Anyway, now that I've made the decision about a '32, I'm non-stop searching the web. A shop in Utah, Flat Out Speed Shop, builds a roadster that is right down my alley but is a little too pricey for me but has the look that I like.

Welcome back, it's good to see you here.
I'll have to ask, SR.com??? was that streetrodders?
In any event, it's good to see you and I hope you can share some pics of the car that trips your trigger once you get it!

34_40...Streetrodding.com used to be a great place for rodders to share ideas, help each other with our projects, and to have a little fun at the same time. The site was sold and at least for me, it hasn't been the same since. Anyway, I'm glad I decided to test the water here and I look forward to a little friendly "car talk" again.

Hey Don....nice to hear from ya. I'm glad I posted here, got to say hi to Shine, now you. I kinda miss the old forum days when I would check in several times a day. There was always some good BSing going on.
I've always liked the Old Crow. It had a special look to it that others just didn't capture. Aren't these pics of the original car or is this the clone?

This is the clone Brady,\
Only thing different is the Logo says OLD Crow II and on the dash is Mary Ann's date of birth and date of passing and in very small lettering inside the pinstripe "4 My Kookie"
Here's a pic of the OG car , think that was the last time you and I actually hooked up. It sold @ Russo and Steel the following year.Last edited by DA34GUY; 09-14-2016 at 11:12 AM.
