32 fix up
Well in the heat this summer along the body line of my 32 the paint blistered. back in the garage the blisters went down and no cracks in the paint. After talking to some of the paint and body guys in the area the talk was strip it down and see whats there. GESS!! So thats what we did.

Now stripping....
Next it is epoxied
still needs a lot a priemer and blocking but will be back to old GREAT LOOKS!! The talented one tells me if fiberglass is not prepared properly so the paint gets a proper seal it will always blister in time. just a heads up guys do it right the 1st time stripping is not fun 200 hours 2 guys right now. roid

Man, sorry to see you have to deal with that. I've had to do that on some corvettes and it isn't real fun. It will look great again in time!Ryan

Interesting, there's a lot more skim coating there than when it left me. Around the deck lid is no surprise it was horrible for fit. Glad you have the commitment to fix it.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

early cars are notorious for this . right before you get ready to seal for paint sand all the molding lines down to glass. there is excessive build in the crevasse on the revel moldings . ends up gassing out and creating a bubble . really common problem . yes i'm guilty too

dont think so, was only one coat of paint lots of filler and gray primer.

not fun for sure, sanding at this level of time is crazy...

thanks shine did just that, was crazy how it rose up out in the heat and went down back in the garage. took it right down then did it in epoxy primer to seal it 1st coat then priemer

polyester is bad about this also. bodywork shows in the sun but disappears in the shade .
