Posers
It's an unfortunate thing that these low lives exist and I try to trip them up when I find one. I'm in the process of trying to sort one out on another car forum I visit quite often. I will give no quarter to those of that ilk and it irritates the hell out of me that the damn liberals on the supreme court have determined it's a form of free speech along with desecrating the flag.

Yeah they're pretty much everywhere Ken. I've run into my fair share off and on over the years.....and you can usually spot them about the third sentence they spout off. A few years ago I found them to be across between amusing and annoying. With the number of young people we've lost or who come home missing missing limbs my tolerance for them is a lot less.
Like you I'm an era vet (Vietnam and Desert Storm) I never claim to be anything but......too many time the pretenders have never even worn the uniform.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

This post got me thinking and did some math and realized 50 yrs ago I was going to college part time had a shop and a partner bruce giesler we were running a 53 studebaker #219 at dry lakes and bonneville had one of my motors in his car he had been trying to get a record for 7 yrs and finally made it also running my B/gas 38 chevy and on mothers day of I took the A.H.R.A. B gas title with my new 427 bbc to but the next day pulled that motor and put it in my friends 29 roadster mallet & crowe h/b special and ran el mirage dry lake 171.66 mph and stored my 38 chevy and my 55 chevy 57 ford 2dr s/w I used as tow car and on may 25 my mother and high school sweethart took me to L.A. and after all the tears I went in the induction blg. got on a bus to ft. ord and my life changed forever.I'LL KEEP MY PROPERTY, MY MONEY, MY FREEDOM, AND MY GUNS, AND YOU CAN KEEP THE CHANGE------ THE PROBLEM WITH LIBERALISM IS SOONER OR LATER YOU RUN OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES MONEY margaret thacher 1984

Ken,
It seems that there are all kinds of posers in our midst today. Are you referring to guys who claim involvement in military service exploits that really weren't involved; guys who claim to have served but really didn't; or some other posers? I've always referred to the guy who buys a cam for the lope, thinking that means power, as a poser.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.
