Half a century ago...
Fifty years ago today, 24th June 1967 Monica Rosalie Jennifer Young said "I do," and thereby agreed to become the lawful wedded wife of John David Norton.
Silly bitch.
She should've known better.
I had to tell her I was pregnant to get her to agree to marry me.
Fortunately She believed me.
Nah; just being facetious.
We've had our ups and downs over the years, been pretty close to bankruptcy more than once; but we've come through it together.
Its been 'Us' against all that the world and weather could throw at us.
We've been down many, many, times; but never out.
By thinking outside the square and doing things that the pundits told us would never work we scratched, scrabbled, and clawed our way out of holes and crises that would've (and have,) broken many others.
And we did it as a team.
I couldn't have got to where we are today without you.
You were my rock; and believed in me.
Thanks missus.johnboy

Congratulations, jb & Rosie, on a fantastic run which was sometimes against the current in deep waters. You're a team, for sure!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Johnboy and Rosie, congratulations are, indeed, in order. Fifty is one of those milestones that really means something in my book.
