It must be summer
'cause I finally got my butt in gear and took the coupe out for a bath and a quick ride.
I even behaved and didn't let the car live up to it's name!

You're ahead of me! Mine's still wearing dust from the end of summer, or before....Roger

Hah Hah! I couldn't believe how much dirty water rolled off the hood. The washing was way overdue. It was a nice short cruise. grabbed my uncle on the way by and took him with me. Jumped on the loud pedal once.. brought a smile to both our faces. It was a fun evening!

What in the world are you doing letting a car like that collect dust, That thing is a show stopper, Beautiful Blue. I love all the names of the gas pedal, I heard " Gave it the groceries " today, that was a new one to me. lolSeth

So I went out to the garage the other day and the battery in the '33 was totally dead, which is not good with an AGM battery... I'd pulled the battery tender off to use on the old truck some time back, and just didn't take time to bring it back and hook it up. Had to use the old "hook a known good battery in parallel" to get it to accept the charge, then just left the trickle charger on for a couple of days. It's back to 12.75V this morning, which is a good thing!Roger

A while back I had the same problem with a newer Optima red top in my sedan. My charger would not charge it no matter what I did. So decided I'd try an Optima charger, claimed it will recover a dead battery that others won't. Sure as heck did and a couple others since, pretty much paid for itself already.

One of the methods Optima suggests is to connect a known good battery in parallel, hook the charger to the good battery and the charger will then sense an acceptable minimum voltage and push the charge. Check to ensure that the dead battery is not getting hot or hissing (off-gassing) after ten or fifteen minutes, and after an hour check the voltage on the dead one. If 10.5V or more, unhook the parallel battery, re-connect the charger to the dead one and let it finish.
Another way is to buy a new charger that has a setting for AGM batteries I tried the cheap route, and it worked!Roger

Lol, it didn't work on mine, and I got tired of the cheap chargers failing. The Optima charger does it all automatically, it will maintain as well kinda a full circus act. Granted it ain't cheap, however it has saved more than it cost.

Yeah, I lit it off and then uploaded a little tune tweak. It's been loping pretty hard, so I bumped in 5% additional fuel from idle to mid-range. Took it out for a short drive, enough to get it up to temps and it was better, but not perfect... Came back and bumped the fuel another 2%, but only from 1200 to 3000 and then enriched the Accel/Decel (accelerator pump) curve just a smidge. I'll check it tomorrow, and might wash it!!Roger

Thank you Roger. .
