The Falcon before the Falcon......

Anyone ever see one of these before???? In all my years of hot rodding, I never came across this car or even heard of it. According to one of the following articles, Ford snagged the brand name "Falcon" before Chrysler did.

It's a beautiful car! The mid-section of the car resembles the '55-57 Thunderbird."It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells

Pretty nifty little rig, I don't remember seeing it before, but the Ghia styling queues (especially in the front) are similar to some other Mopar concept cars of that era. Exner did some truly hideous designs, especially in the very early '60s (though to be fair, he may have had some interference from management) but this one is a nice, clean design in general.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

the corvette caught everyone by surprise . ford did the tbird but chrysler decided the 2 seaters would bomb. i still think ford screwed up in 58. i have a book that only goes up to 42. there are some wild cars in it from the beginning .
