I could never get used to the M14. I have short arms and I couldn't get it to balance properly and whoever devised the hinged butt plate ought to have it up his a**. I was told that the flash suppressor was easily bent, don't know but I hated that rifle. IMHO, the M16 is a mickey mouse piece of s**t with firepower being it's only good quality.
