It would appear that at least in this case, the "inspection" needs to include metal thickness inspection(s). Also the OEM manufacturer says they will update the inspection procedures. So maybe thickness tests and interior inspections will become the norm not the exception.
I have yet to find an inspection form from any state close to me that actually says anything "real"! Most seem to be merely suggestions of things someone might look at. Like attempting to turn a fastener by hand.. Not a wrench or socket.. but a hand! I haven't been on any thrill rides in decades.. don't think I'll start now!

I'm with 34 40. Haven't been on one in many years, and you could not
pay me to ride something called a Wild Mouse, etc.
