It isn't your point that madders so much, but the point that so many news peeps, politicians talk the Full Automatic, Machine Gun line for gun control issues that the stories get slanted so far from what actually happened how to a rambling river of BS that diverts attention away from real facts/issues that then never get cleared up in the heads of so many----------

I've been avoiding this thread because as Seth said
".......Usually on these topics your just preaching to the choir or trying to change somebody's mind that will not change........"
That being said, this will likely be my only post on the matter. I came across this food for thought piece earlier this morning and thought I'd post the link for anyone interested.

As far as banning bump fire stocks, I wouldn't necessarily be against it but as far as keeping them out of the publics' hands that ship has already sailed.
Last night one of the national news commentators was discussing how easily bump stocks could be purchased and quoted a ridiculously low price for them. I like to do my own fact checking so I went to a couple of sites I buy ammo from to verify the cost. Guess what....every place I checked showed them out of stock. Which means that they are truly sold out and will sell everyone they can get their hands on, or they have pulled all their stock and are holding it until just before the ban goes into effect and will make a huge profit on them. Frankly banning them will probably put more of them in circulation that doing nothing.
Even though I suspect they will probably be be banned in the near future, it doesn't mean that they won't be available to anyone who really wants one or even several. The programing for making them with a 3D printer is already available on line.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Not much comment here except what makes someone think that when someone is going to do something illegal (shoot people) they are going to for me some crazy reason be legal and abide by the law on a weapons purchase??? Yeah drugs are illegal and they have gone away........right
Do people really think that criminals make sure their car registration and insurance is up to date when they do a drive by?? Criminals simply are criminals because they DON'T obey laws, don't think they will when they are passed!
I dont try to rationalize sick people that can't be rationalized and laws wont make them any less sick or less dangerousLast edited by Matthyj; 10-04-2017 at 07:22 PM.

i agree 100% stovens. I sincerely believe the news media of this nation perpetuates 90% of the hype (mostly false and negative) in this country and its sad, really sad man. I keep my head in the sand and don't even have, subscribe to, or watch tv anymore. I do have a tv but its only good to just watch movies, else i read or work in my garage or work outside. As to guns, unless they've grown brains or artificial intelligence, last time i checked its people that kill people, which is unfortunate as well. I agree, how one was raised and the paths he or she takes in life, tells the tale in most cases.1972 Z28 Camaro, Full Drag Car, 383 CID

I take it that logic, rationale, reasoning, common sense, reality, philosophy, lessons gained from guys like Descartes, mathematics, the US Constitution, history, ethics, human psychology, probabilities and statistics, etc etc are unfamiliar concepts to you...makes me more glad and fortunate that i got my education and perspectives from real life and real people,1972 Z28 Camaro, Full Drag Car, 383 CID

Tech-even I want to know about the wall and Hillary-------But I didn't start thread for political reasons but for respect for the Office of The President-I think when someone walks in that office that politics should be over and he (she?) is seen as the leader of the greatest nation on this planet----but instead of that-its been about golf, vacations, for as long as I can remember (back to Ike's days) ( at least Ike ended a war that is about to be restarted and also built the interstate highway system, also Air Force One became a continuing controversy, etc,etc-- audio recorders and video cameras in the Oval Office----

if we ad a gun problem we would know without a doubt seeing how there are around 4 mil guns here. it's not about gun control it is about control. to install a fascist government you must first disarm the populist . dependence , disarm and dominate. we all read about this in history and civics .

Fixed it for you! There already are safe and sane gun laws. It isn't our fault you can't read, or comprehend. You just see what you want to see and blame the machine.
Now, speaking of vacations, we'll be paying for Obama's 8 years of vacations for how long? Way longer than 8 years!
