    Charity Auction

An old friend of mine (long time friend, plus much older than me) is hosting an auction in Overland Park, KS October 21st. He's putting twenty cars from his collection, plus several pedal cars and a few neon signs up with no reserves, all proceeds donated to St Luke's Hospital's Heart/CardioVascular Programs. Here's a link to the Auction Company - Overland Park Kansas – Smith Auctions LLC

If you scroll down, everything from the Willys neon sign and further down is denoted "Thompson Collection". Some nice cars in the bunch! I really like the mint green shoebox woody, which Frank bought from California within the past year. Another beauty is the red & white '56 Ford - it's just "right". Bone stock, but sits right. JB this is one of the places you visited when you were here last, but some changes in the collection since then....

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

    Crikey!
There are some bloody gorgeous cars in there alright.
And yep; I remember going to see that collection and being very impressed.

And you say he's donating it all to charity?
    An extremely generous philanthropic gesture.
Sorta makes you feel that there are still some really fine people out there.

That sounds like a great auction for a great cause. Giving money away is sometimes the best thing, it ends the fighting of who gets what. There is some real money getting donated there.
