What's your 2018 Hot Rod resolutions?
Everyone has New Year's resolutions. I have some Hot Rod New Year's resolutions I'd like to fulfill next year. Getting my 76 Chevy mobile, getting the 40 drive able, and making big progress on the 71 Camaro are high on my list for 2018. What plans do you have for your hot rod or fleet of them?
I hope you all have a safe and happy New Years as well!Ryan

I have a huge list for the 40. New Dash, New back seat, put my built fuel injected old fashioned motor in, put overdrive in, change rear gears, build new bumpers, and finish the trailer to tow behind. That said, I want to go to as many runs across the US as I can.
Ok, this list is impossible but some of it will get done. Fingers crossed.

Now that I've mostly wrapped up the real estate related projects I look to get the cars on track for some work and then get more involved with the car play scene down here. The '40 is up for o/d and exhaust, the '32 roadster for some small refinements here and there, and shoot to get the '32 sedan closer to done (I know better than to plan on completed........I'm just tooooooo slow).Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

The project right now is removing the wall in my shop into the lean to, however as of right now it's -23 which is too cold for me to insulate. How ironic is that? Tinting the windows on Rita and installing a rear sway bar are the only things on the list for that. I would like to swap the trans on the Camaro and hopefully push our old house garage over and start on some cement work for a new one. After that Install remote start on our 13 Impala because Kari will be without a garage this winter. Ryan, I know your 71 pretty well, it seems to like it best when you push it in a corner and throw a bunch of crap on top of itLast edited by 53 Chevy5; 01-01-2018 at 10:12 AM.

I may have one more in me. Working toward buying a farm right now....may take a few years, but Joanie's youngest grandson, William, 10, has shown an interest in learning from Grandpa.

"...... William, 10, has shown an interest in learning from Grandpa....."
That brings a smile to this old mans face Richard.
Although not a hot rod, finishing getting Cade's little Mustang road worthy is definitely on the to do list. Of course, that will also entail effort on his part both the work on the car and working for me to pay for parts.
I want to get the gas tank filler neck hole patched over on the 37 and maybe get the seat upholstered.
I'm hoping to get the dual quads on the 57 Plymouth and sorting out power steering for it.
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

Tech, here's hoping we get to enjoy your company long after "you've bought the farm".
Ba da sum. Couldn't resist..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Started back on the 34 about 8 months ago by putting fenders and running boards back on to see how all fits. Took a lot of work just to get all together as holes don't line up very well. I will take them all off again as there is still much chassis work to do. The hope for this year is to get it back to drivable so I can do some meets this summer in my car fore a change and not be just a looker. I know I promised some pics awhile back so some will be coming soon.
