Looking good. Just curious as to what you set the I beam on, on the end walls? Built some perches or?

WooHoo.. Look at all that room. Can't wait to see it full of projects. LOL..

That should be about August I reckon!

Good for you Seth, it must've been a lot of hard work but you've pulled it off again.

Ryan, to hold the beam up I used some 3 inch self tapping screws and attached it to the outside steel. Just kidding, I got 3 2x8's nailed together and then to the stud wall.

Thanks, it hasn't been too hard yet, we always had this plan for it. Next is the time-consuming part of all the trim in steel on the ceiling. I think the first project I'll have in there is putting a rear sway bar on the 53, and then swapping the transmission on the Z28. It will be kind of nice to finally use my pit.

Is the pit under the tin laying on the floor?

Do you have any plan on adding any other support to the I beam? Again, just curious is all.

Not really. The ends are rock solid but i did think about plateing one side of the beam.for extra strength. I ended up not doing that because there really isn't much weight up there. I found that out when I braced it up. Even during the winter I never get much snow on that side of the shed. I know it seems like a bit of a stretch for the beam, I can always put a pole in if I must, I don't want to though.

Got the insulation finished up on the wall and got it sealed up with wrap. We started hanging the OSB on the wall and after cutting one sheet wrong twice I thought I better take a break from that. For the steel on the ceiling, I have some used tin that needs to be power washed off and repainted once it's up. I thought I might as well finish out the day washing them off with the rotary tip on the pressure washer. I started washing and found that my boot had a hole in it and my sock turned wet immediately, " " " "Whatever one wet sock won't be that bad". I kept washing and about 30 seconds later the power washer quit, so "What the crap, it's full of gas." Double checked the oil and it was full, so I pulled the rope and it fired right up, "Great!"....Wrong. I forgot that the trigger on the wand is stuck on and now the hose and wand are whipping around in the air searching for it's first victim. " I don't know if you guys know what a rotary tip is on a pressure washer, but it's a tip that spins in a circle and will peel your skin open if you get in it's way. " No big deal, I'll unplug it, oh wait it's a GAS motor." I go run to shut the water off then I realize the hose is self winding itself around the power washer. "Great I'll wait for it to finish that and then kill the motor " So I finally got the motor shut down and my wand is officially broke from the trauma. I called it a day and grabbed a beer. Just for you information, if your wondering where my wife was this whole time, She was in the shed laughing while looking for her phone to record it.

That's better than the last time i was running a power hand drill with a big bit, and the bit locked up. Of course, i had accidentally locked in the trigger. The drill was a HILTI , a real beast.

I managed to let go quick enough that it didn't break my wrist, then stood back and watched it coil up the cord until it un plugged.

    Anyway, let's see the video!

It looks like it's turning into a nice addition.

The fish-eye lens effect fooled me at first glance. I sure thought the beam was bowed.

I'm waiting on the video of the pressure washer incident, too! I had a similar type of thing with a gas post hole drill many years ago. Hit a root with my thumb locked over the throttle. The guy that was helping me and I made several trips in a circle before I could let go.
