Forum page glitch help
I've had this problem as long as I can remember but I finally got sick of it tonight. The problem is if I'm on the Forum tab, I will click on a topic that interests me such as Build Logs, I well read the thread, then hit the back button and I will get this message

53 Chevy5, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:
Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.
Then I will have to click the Home tab and then go back to the Forum tab to see the topics list again. What am I doing wrong?Seth

In a slightly different way I've had pretty much the same issue for years. We did a little dance around a few years back with Brent supposed to "fix it" but that particular thing never got done. Apparently he never sees that issue so can't solve it.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Seth,
What browser are you using? I'm using Google Chrome, and if I go into Build Logs and open a thread, then click the "back arrow" in the browser header it pops back to the Build Log list. It seems to work OK for me, so I can understand Brent not being able to fix something that he doesn't see.Roger

I never use google anything, they are intrusive and invasive. I use IE for national radar and windows sites and Firefox for everything else and have done so for years. I also let my anti virus expire and use Malwarebytes exclusively, works better and less hassle.Ken Thomas

I seem to get the same message when I go from say what's new to forum. It'll give me that message and then I go to forum again. I have noticed it seems like when you get the message, the forum tab isn't in the same place so maybe that has something to do with it?Ryan

Folks,
Usually when you see those types of errors it has to do with your browser settings. Either you system or browser cache is too small, or full, or both. Also, you may be on an older browser that needs updating. A system that needs updating, or your flash and java plugins needing updating.Last edited by mrmustang; 02-15-2018 at 04:58 PM.

I'm going to have to disagree. I just cleared my browser cache etc. When I'm viewing a thread, and I click the very left Forum tab at the top of the page to go to the forum, the next screen is this message:

It happens every time you try to go to the forum via that button. It doesn't matter what computer I use it does it the same. Just trying to give more insight to the issue.Ryan

I have tried it with Chrome, IE, Edge, Firefox, and Seamonkey, both logged in, and not logged in to the forum. I cannot seem to get the same error messages that you guys/gals are. But then again, I am running the latest versions of my browsers, plugins, and my system(s) are fully up to date and patched.
Try an experiment for me, bookmark the following url:

Then hit home and see if you get an error message.
Want to assist where I can, but I need to see what you are seeing before I can attempt to come up with a solution.
