    Aftermarket tach.

     



    I want to know if I set up an aftermarket tach. and leave all my original gauges set up, will I get bogus readings for the oil pressure, alt. coolant temp???

    One has absolutely nothing to do with the other unless it's computer controlled.

    Seems to me that if the tach signal goes to the computer : the computer might be dependant upon the signal. If the new tach doesn't interfere you'll be OK.

    Welcome to CHR!

    What engine setup are you working on? As mentioned above - probably shouldn't be an issue - but want to make sure that you don't interfere with a required feedback circuit.
