2018 Promo Tour
The Promo Tour was great! The trip was uneventful as far as the car goes. We got back home yesterday around 2:00. The car did great except for a bit of a heater core leak on the FIRST day at the FIRST stop... Put a loop in place of the heater hoses and had no further issues.
The wagon drove nicely and we put about 760 trouble free miles on her. I used 38 or 40 gallons of gas on the trip so that works out to 19 or 20 miles to the gallon! I am not going to complain about that. I am thanking the PFI Systems TBI and the 200R4 for the mileage. The car ran down the road at 55 or 60 with the RPM's at 1500... I am very happy with the car right now.
Here are a few pics taken during the week on the road.
Yea, I want this one...
This is the group we traveled with. Better bunch of people you will be hard pressed to find.
The sunset in Petoskey was gorgeous!
Thanks for looking!

Real nice wagon; '56 is my favorite of the shoebox era.Rrumbler, Aka: Hey you, "Old School", Hairy, and other unsavory monickers.
Twistin' and bangin' on stuff for about sixty or so years; beat up and busted, but not entirely dead - yet.

Thanks! She proved herself on this trip!
I have to revise my fuel mileage numbers though. I didn't include the 10 gallons I used going from Tawas to home thru Birch Run. With 50 gallons used I got about 15.2 MPG. I thought the 19-20 was kinda high. I filled the car up today on the way to the A&W Cruise in Flushing and realized I hadn't counted the last leg of the trip... Still 15 or 16 is nothing to sneeze at...

It's Michigan based and is tied to Back to the Bricks. This is a huge show that is put on in downtown Flint at the end of August.

Driving across the bridge with the wagon was very cool.
