Happy Vetrans Day
Happy Veterans Day and a special thanks to all of you that have worn the uniform of our country. For those that have family and friends still serving please also pass on my thanks.

I usually spend some time reflecting on Vets day…… this one is kind of special.
100 years ago today my Grandfather was in the trenches in France when The Great War ended.

Dad was also a Vet and served in Germany during WWII as a Forward Observer. Not sure how he would have been spending the day 73-74 Years ago but 40 years ago he would have been marching with the VFW Post in the Veterans Day parade in my home town.

And me, 45 Years ago I was in Korea getting ready to return stateside from my first overseas tour.

Here in a little bit my grandson Cade and I will go out and put my Dads’ flag on the pole (the one he flew every day until he passed away) .
.I've NEVER seen a car come from the factory that couldn't be improved.....

It's called Armistice Day here in New Zealand.
I had four uncles served in WWI.
Thankfully all returned. Lots of families were not so fortunate. I read in yesterdays coverage of it in the paper than one local family lost all four of their sons.
That would be gut-wrenching.

Mike, thanks for sharing the pics and the history with them! That's awesome his flag is still in good enough shape for you to be able to fly it for him!
Thanks to all who gave served and who are still serving! This country wouldn't be what it is today without your sacrifices!
