    Respect

    Respect, Respect, Respect!!!

I found this a while back, and after this weeks drama, I thought it was appropriate to bring it back up and keep it in our minds when posting. Mr Mustang is far more eloquent than I! And I am NOT pointing fingers at anyone! I just want to revive this so we may possibly get back to where we were.

And of course you can tell me to go pound sand, I'm no moderator and have no authority any more than any other member of this society here. But we must co-exist and respect each other. So please take a deep breath and shake it off!

After receiving a PM at 1am last night (my phone is silent between 11pm and 6am EST sorry guys), I was about to post a link to the very same thread.

Thanks for having my back and taking care of it for me.

    Have a Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving to you and the family Bill.

I hope my copying / linking to your original post wasn't the cause for the pm..

Respect is earned not given.. and one must give respect to get respect..

it doesn't matter how old you are or how much experience you have, when you come off like a jerk, or think you are better then someone else or treat them like they are beneath you, you will not get any respect, at least from me, and especially on an internet forum.

I don't know you and I don't care who you are or how popular and entitled you think you are.

Along with "Respect, Respect, Respect" one needs to also include "be humble", you might know more than the next guy, but there is zero reason to be a jack-hat about it.

One of the reasons from my POV that this forum is so slow and lacking is because of the demeaner and attitude of some members when a noob asks for help.

it's enough for some to not come back, because the internet is a vast place and the information can be had elsewhere.

So if a poster goes back and edits 7 or 8 posts a week after they were posted--are we allowed to go back and change ours??????

You have missed a week of me being me-------asking questions about basics to give an answer to someone who didn't answer but continued to pout about why his car ran poorly in cooler weather----He has temp issues with coolant system less than 60* but is more interested in a grill covering than control of coolant system------

I have spent all afternoon looking at my past posts and the thousands of pictures I have posted from shows, races, machine/fab work and rear hundreds of posts about getting the site to take the photos as I have taken them to be able to pass on the details of other folks work--------finally arrived at a reason for so many not wanting pics posted in that level of detail------it makes most viewers own stuff look poorly-------( only reasonable idea I've arrived at)

So , if so many don't want me to post pics, and or quiz posters about systems or parts they are having issues with so I can contribute to the solving of the puzzle---------I might as well leave this site for good--I will be over at Denny's site if any of you are looking for me---------but just remember-if you have a old car that was 6 volt positive ground, has had an electrical fire under the dash, sensors that are wired incorrectly, grounds reversed, finned alum valve covers, electric fans with faultly controllers, etc,etc,etc----------and you don't want to answer questions, show some snap shots--------call CNN and tell them how nice your car is running----
