Like many here, I’m very pro military and I believe it a privilege to live in the greatest country on this planet. I’m always humbled when I see a person wearing the uniform and try and go out of my way to thank them for their service. I’m especially sensitive to those who are older than I am (fewer and fewer) who are wearing a Viet Nam hat or shirt indicating they served. I know that’s there some “wannabe” folks out there but those of us who really served can usually see right through them.
My wife and I just returned from an extended road trip and as a part of such, we stopped in Colorado to visit long time friends that we were actually stationed with 40 plus years ago in Greece. Their oldest daughter, now 43, is a colonel in the Air Force and with currently Space Command. She is a strikingly beautiful woman all of 5’ 3” tall. She displays jump wings and combat action patches on her duty uniform – having led men and women during her three tours in the Middle East. She is truly a soldier and I could not be more proud of her of thank her enough for her service to America.
My sincerest Veteran’s Day greetings to all who served and prayers for safety and protection for those still in – especially the sons and daughters of the CHR gang."Where the people fear the government you have tyranny. Where the government fears the people you have liberty." John Basil Barnhil

Fly them flags high my friends, thanks to all of you.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.
Luck occurs when preparation and opportunity converge.

Mine was definitely up yesterday (actually the flag I fly on veterans day had been my dad's).
Best part of the day was my Granddaughter helping me take it down and fold it in the evening.

Thank you for best wishes, and given in return.
My VFW post had a flag retirement ceremony last night, after the meeting. Weather was nice and the rehearsal went well. I wasn't feeling up to watching so I left. The last couple months have been fairly taxing upon me.
Anyway I hope everyone had a great day..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Merry Christmas ya'll
