been a while.......
Yes I'm still alive & kicking. I've been beating on a project and been helping a friend in his upholstery shop in trade to recover my front seats in the 96 Suburban. Now I'm back in Florida w/April for a few months before I head back home to get a few minor tune ups. Neck & low back have a pinched nerve they're either going to burn and or remove some bone to help the pain. But before that they're going to give me a new right hip. OH joy more metal...
Just wanted to stop by & say hello, hope all of you had a great Thanksgiving and have a wonderful Christmas & New Year....joe

Good to see your moniker pop up Joe! Hoping all goes well with the new hip and chasing the pinch. Best wishes for a Merry Christmas, and hoping that 2021 is kinder to all of us!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Thanks guys... Been slow going with the project, but did get the 6 cylinder mtr, auto trans & rearend mounted in the frame. Been fighting w/the bad hip and pinched nerves for a while. Argued with my PCP to see my specialist and then doctors about what was wrong & getting it fix. Took 6 months for them to finally say, Joe you have a couple of pinched nerves we need to fix but you really need a hip. BUT we can't do anything until Feb/March because of Covid. You would have thought after telling them the hip went out 4-5 times & I came very close to bouncing off concrete , they would have done done something then. Nope... So I figured Christmas in Florida w/April sound really good. So she flew up & drove back with me.
She happened to be in the hospital last Friday to get some hardware removed from her shoulder that was causing some problems, yes removing it helped 100%. Anyway my hip popped out or whatever is causing the pain & me unable to walk & her doctor seen it happen & asked what was wrong. I told him what was going on & he said, I can fix that for you. Well today April spoke to the doctors office and it seems I might be recouping in sunning Florida rather than cold & possibly snowy St Louis...
Just means another zipper/scar to add to the collection, lol
And as shine said " it sure beats the alternative"
Take care folks, I'll try to pop in more often.....joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Chicks dig scars.
Be well..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

You're right Joe; it has been a while since your name popped up here. But not so in our house
We've moved from where we were, now at Tataraimaka closer to town. We're still unpacking cartons and getting things organised, and the other evening She Who Must Be Obeyed opened a carton which contained some photo albums.
She started flicking through one...and there's a photo of you. Taken outside an ice-cream shop as I remember.
"How's Joe getting on?" She said.
Dunno. Haven't heard from him in quite some time.
And now three or four days later you pop out of the woodwork.
How's that for a coincidence!
All the best with your medical problems, and a Merry Christmas with a happy new year from Godzown Country!johnboy

Slowly becoming?? LOLOL St. Louis has had most murders per capita of any big US city. St. Louis led the nation with 66.1 murders per 100,000 people in 2017, according to the FBI’s most recent yearly statistics, released in September. It was followed by Baltimore (55.8 per 100,000), Detroit (39.8 per 100,000), New Orleans (39.5 per 100,000) and Baton Rouge, Louisiana (38.3 per 100,000). For its part, Chicago ranked 14th among cities with at least 100,000 people in 2017.
BUT that all being said, I love the winter weather that we have near Orlando. How can you complain when winter is about 2 weeks of 40* weather
Everyone take care & I'll pop back in more often. No project work for a while, so it'll home repairs while I'm down south. A bunch of minor stuff other then ripping the kitchen apart to hang new cabinets/counter top for April. It's something we've wanted to do for a while & the opportunity has came at the right time. A friend offered us their 5yr old hardwood cabinets & counter top for free since they decided to remodel their kitchen again after doing other home remodeling. Hard to say NO considering there is 2 twice amount of cabinets then what we need The laundry room may get a few also. Well everyone take care & I'll see you all on the flip side... Later gators...joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Good hearing from you Joe! My daughter is in Tampa and was complaining about the weather, seems it was 40 degrees there one morning! Poor thing said she had to wear shoes with toes in them and even socks! Our high temp for that day was 35 degrees, but I did try to feel sorry for her!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!
