Well they got me up walking today a couple of times and I’m doing very good they say. I do have some pain but it’s nothing like before thank God, there’s a good possibility I’ll get to go home today so the healing has begun I just got to be sure to pay attention and do what the doctor told me to do. You can’t keep a good man down. So hopefully in a few weeks I’ll be able to take Susie to the park once again and have her walk me around the area. Thanks again guys for all the kind words. As I said once before I’m not going anywhere I got too many people to bother in this world. LOL...joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

WOW, that is great! Such good news. Yes, trust your Doc, and give the process some time. I'm so glad to hear you're already moving and the pain level is better than before.

Yes I’m going to listen to the doctor mainly because he told me how bad it actually was and I don’t wanna see him other than to have my staples removed and possibly him doing my left hip in the future. I have almost no pain the only time it hurts when they have me walking and my foot hits the floor. It it’s surgical pain and not pain from the bad hip. I am very grateful that Dr. Thompson what is there to take care of me when I needed it done the most. Hopefully everything will heal properly and I’ll be back on my feet in a few weeks walking semi-normally and walking the dog at the park. Thanks everybody, it’s been a long hard road to get to where I’m at right now. I just wish my doctors in St. Louis would’ve listen to me back in April. It took my neural surgeon telling me that it wasn’t my back that it was my hip causing all the pain and told me to get my hip done first. Sadly the St. Louis doctor so they were going to do it to the middle of March. I’m just glad I was here when it happened goes if I was at home I wouldn’t have my woman to take care of me. 38 staples were removed today, to do my therapy and they’d see me in 4wks. Using a cane most the time and drove today. Thank you Jesus, no more riding with eyes closed and knowing my brake didn’t work...

Reading throught this thread brings tears to my eyes, Joe. A lot of us can relate - at some level or another - and none of us likes to admit that as we age, some things need to be addressed. Maybe if we had been mindful in our younger years things would be easier now but that doesn't change where we are now. I am really impressed with your attitude throughout this ordeal - you're a fighter and an encouragement!
Blessings and praying for you to recover and enjoy a lot more good years with rich memories.

Thanks Glenn, life hasn’t been easy at times BUT I’ll look on the bright side, it could’ve been a hella lot worse. But being as beat up as I am, it has allowed me to do a lot of good things in my life. I got to be Mr Mom to my son while his mother worked. We got to do all kinds of great stuff together. I was able to take friends and family to their doctors appointments and other places. Most importantly I was able to take care of my best friend, in-laws, parents, sister in law and my late wife Denise before they all passed away.
Would I change anything??? Nope, I’d tell the Good Lord to just let it play out exactly the same way it did the first time. I wouldn’t be who I am today if anything changed.
Thanks again everyone....joe ;IGY6
