I’m getting more new parts
Looks like on January 18 I’ll be in the hospital in Central Florida to finally have my hip replaced. My doctor up in St. Louis said it wouldn’t be till late February early March before he’d be able to do it. I happen to be here in Florida with April at the hospital while she was getting hardware removed from her shoulder when my hip decided to pop out or pinch a nerve or whatever is causing my problem. Let’s just say I screamed like a 12-year-old little girl because of the pain and her doctor come running in asking what it happened. And I told him about my hip and he said that he could fix it. Getting the testing done and I have had the scan done to build my new hip. So hopefully next Monday my new parts will be working flawlessly. One down two more procedures to go, I got too badly pinched nerves also one in my neck and one in my low back. I guess I get to add to my collection that I have accumulated over the past 50+ years. Hope everybody’s having a great day........joeLast edited by TooMany2count; 01-11-2021 at 11:32 AM.

Here's hoping that all goes well for you, Joe. Prayers for a quick recovery and that you'll be better than new with that titanium hip!

You're going to start setting off the security alarms at the airports now.
I've got stainless steel pins in my right hand, and very often that will set the alarms off.
It's actually quite annoying.johnboy

My surgery is being postponed because I’m in A-fib according to the nurse doing my pre-testing for the surgery. Have to see cardiologist and get clearance first.
I wondering why it didn’t show up 3 months ago when I was at the doctors getting a physical. Better to catch it now.... joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

For me it was the anxiety / knowing the surgery was coming up. Doc had to ensure the surgeon understood that my anxiety was going to raise my blood pressure, they compensated with "something" when they put me under I returned to a normal reading. As soon as I awakened, my BP rose again. Stayed there the whole hospital stay too.

Tell me, yesterday I was so depressed and pissed off that I could a bit the heads off of 10 penny nails. It’s just getting aggravating especially since I’ve been dealing with this so long and none of my other doctors would actually do anything for me. Next to the pain the insomnia is the worst. I can only take pain medication for two or three days and then I’m up for a day or two because I can’t sleep because of the pain meds. Not wanting to take drugs but I sure would like to have a pill that would let me sleep for 12 hours straight. Give me three or four of them, That would be sleep I would enjoy. Uninterrupted sleep would be a blessing. It will get better before it get worse, I’m just thankful that I got a good woman to take care of me. Everybody take care, I’ll let you know what’s going on..... joeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

I'm not saying this is for everyone, but Gaberpentin works for me. It relieves the nerves (I have 5 herniated/de-generated disc in my neck). It doesn't do much for arthritis, but it does help my neck enough I can get through the days and nights. Might be worth checking with your docs to see if it might help you.

Glad it works for you. Never helped me, I might as well be eating M&M’s when I took them. And what makes things worse is I get the major side effects from drugs if I get any. Some of them have been horrible. The cholesterol medicine they had me on made every bone, joint and muscle in my body hurts so bad that I wanted to walk out in front of a truck. So needless to say I don’t take them.Donate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE

Yep, the cholesterol meds did / do the same to me too. The docs started me on them while in the hospital, with a couple days I was suffering all over and couldn't get comfortable. I asked the docs why 'cause I wasn't hurting when I went in... It wasn't until I got out and I went to see my chiro cracker and I told her my story, she didn't beat an eyelash and said stop taking these, you'll
start to feel better in a couple days. And she was right! D_mn doc at the hospital he must've known this... grrr.. I only take a half dose now, but they don't need to know that.
Thank you Roger. .
