That is cool.
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.

Keeping Chips out if the Interior would be fun, but otherwise it's really cool-Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?

The Sunnen salesman for this area had a rod/piston honing unit on a slide out in the back of a station wagon back in early 70sBy popular opinions-just a grumpy old man key board bully--But really, if you are going to ask for help on an internet site, at least answer questions about what you are asking about-----

Looks like a South Bend. Maybe 9 or 10 inch. I have a 10" Sheldon that I keep a 3 jaw chuck on. Super handy size for most car stuff.Mike

I just noticed that there is a shaper directly behind the front seats. Shapers were very common up until the 60's. Still very handy for a home shop. They can do many functions of a milling machine, but use simple hand ground single point tools. The tools are almost exactly like lathe tool bits.
The main problem with them is that they are slow and fell out of favor. There was an old saying that you could make anything but money with a shaper!Mike
