Sharing some family news
This past Sunday, my dad went to be with the Lord, his health and physical body had really gone downhill in the last 3 years.
My mom had taken such good care of him this last year at home, by the time she could not do it anymore and brought him into hospice care in Sioux falls he passed away in less than 24 hours.
Sure is a weird feeling having your dad gone, I'm sure many of you can relate. Here is a link to his obituary if you would like to read it .https://m.facebook.com/story.php?sto...00024105261526Seth
God cannot give us a happiness and peace apart from Himself, because it is not there. There is no such thing. C.S.Lewis

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

Oh Seth - no words can express the emotions and tumult inside of us when we loose a loved one. My father (also a Christian) left 26 years ago and I still miss him. There is great comfort however in knowing your father is with the Lord and his suffering and pain is no longer.
Horatio G. Spafford penned these words in 1873 after a great loss in his family:
"Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul"
Blessings my brother,

Sorry to hear of your loss Seth, but be thankful you had a father you could look up to, admire and be friends with.
Be grateful for the good times you had with him.
I envy you for that.johnboy

Condolences to you and the rest of the family. I lost my Dad many years ago and still catch myself thinking I should give Dad a call and see what he thinks. Those of us who were blessed with wonderful and loving Fathers never do get over the loss, we eventually turn the grief into fond memories and keep them forever!Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, Live for Today!

So very sorry for your loss, I lost my Dad back in in '79, when I was still an idiot kid trying to find out who I was - hopefully your Dad was able to see you become a man, and enjoyed time with his/your Family/Grandchildren.
They say they never leave us, and I believe that's true, as there have just been too many things happen in my life that chance could not have been the reason. I hope for the very best for you and your Family-Last edited by 35WINDOW; 04-20-2021 at 11:57 PM.
Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?
