Fate of the forum
I've been a member since 2003 and during this time the forum has had many ups and downs, but the last couple of years has been a real challenge. Many times the forum has been inaccessible for one reason or another which IMHO has been a detriment to both members new and old.
In my opinion if this trend continues this forum will no longer be viable. That would be a shame as there are many good and knowledgeable members many of whom no longer contribute, in my opinion, due to lack of consistency.
Hopefully, this forum will take a new direction.
In that vein, is there an answer to why after a day or two one has to search to find threads? This is the only forum I visit where this is a problem.Ken Thomas

techinspector1 is not computer savvy and quite stubborn as well. The email associated with his account is no longer valid and getting a notice to his new email, which I have tried to do, falls on deaf ears.
Since the authority to grant him access with a new email account lies not with our moderator, mr. mustang, but with the administrator, Brent, all attempts have failed.
Pat, on the other hand, became disgusted with all of the BS and bailed as I believe others have as well.Ken Thomas

I see your question but wonder what's the point. "Forums" like this one are becoming a thing of the past ( so we're told) now everyone runs to YouTube and has both the visual and written communications. So like the dinosaurs ( and all of us ) it'll pass into oblivion anyway. It is a shame that a member has an issue and cannot have a resolution easily made... I think even the
owners of this place have moved on to other "things" and don't realize we exist. That's how it feels to me anyway! But what do I know. I remember, same as many of you, when this place was hopping and folks were doing builds and projects and then the "software change" happened.. No sense of whining about it now. Life moves on.. just like TechInspector1...

You hit on the software changes, and yes, with the platforms software, there are plenty of changes, and things that get done by Brent in the background as a one man, sys admin type of person.
What you failed to mention is that this is not his full time gig, he is not earning a living on it, and that he has a family that requires his attention as well.
As for me, I'm just the complaint department, spammers, trolls, assisting with whatever I can in the background, but with no access to anything "sys admin" related.
So, with that said, feel free to continue, as for me, I've got another 700+ miles of driving in the rain so I can be home this weekend.
Bill S.Instead of being part of the problem, be part of a successful solution.
