Where were you on this day 58 years ago?
I was in Okinawa, it was about 6 in the morning, when the news on the radio reported the assassination of John F Kennedy. A horrible day for sure

I was in Kindergarden… I can remember the funeral procession to Arlington being on TV even now.

i remember my father being very upset over something during the thanksgiving week .. i think i remember watching the funeral .. i was only 7 at the time . the marine facing the camera in this picture is an older brother of mine .. he was chosen to represent the marines in the Honor guard . he was 19 at the time .that is J.F.Ks casket . a sister of mine was a personal secretary to J. F K .. my father was in the navy during ww2 and was trained in Boston Mass. .. he made friends with a very influential local fellow .. a fellow who was friends with the Kennedy family ..my father brought this friend with him on a visit to Alabama to meet his sister .. the man fell head over heels for my aunt and told her to wait for him to come get her after the war was over .. he did .. this mans political connections got my father stationed at oak ridge tenn . during the entire war . though he would not and could not talk about anything he did during ww2 at oak ridge we firmly believe that my father knew JFK .
