Have any of you seen this?

I've been following this for awhile ( a few weeks now) and it seems to make me mad / angry / confused / frustrated / sad , and it just confirms how much of a dinosaur I /We really am. Our "old way" of life is slipping away and this feels like I am being kicked in the teeth.

Yeah, that's why we've seen posts here in the past warning that modifying vehicles made after about '95 can carry some serious issues, and it's getting worse. Last year SEMA had a plea for folks to contact their representatives about RPM 2021, Recognizing the Protection of Motorsports Act of 2021 which was intended to stop the EPA ban on modification of street legal vehicles for racing - https://www.sema.org/epa-news I haven't kept up with it lately, but it's just more "Big Brother is Watching".Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

"Rolling coal" doesn't impress me and never will and those who do it are imbeciles of the first order. The EPA, be it federal or state, has acquired entirely too much power and needs to be reigned in or abolished in its entirety.
This whole BS of emission control was was started in commiefornia in the early 60's to fight smog in the LA basin. Funny thing though is that gasoline powered vehicles were far from the main cause, if you ever were behind an LA bus in the 60's you'd know from where I speak. When those buses would start from a standing stop the noxious smoke they emitted could kill mosquitos in a 2 mile area.
I rather feel sorry for the guy, but buyer beware comes to mind in his case.Ken Thomas

This is just the beginning on this subject unfortunately. There are so many deleted pick ups, semis, now tractors, combines, generators, you name it. Are any of you aware there are presidential vehicles that have been deleted and tuned? Imbeciles! And the government absolutely sued that company that did the work they asked them to do.Ryan

Oh so many opportunities. The so called "Infrastructure Bill" passed earlier this year included a provision mandating technology in new cars produced beginning approximately 5 years from now that will allow "authorities" to remotely kill the operation of a motor vehicle. It's being sold as a measure to prevent "impaired" drivers from getting out on the road and being a danger to others. Supposedly it only allows "law enforcement" to activate it................though they don't need a court order, just their own "judgement". Here's the story:https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/techn...ars/ar-AASt1Th
So called "fact checkers" poo pooed the alarm, as they often do, by zeroing in on a tiny technicality where the law is supposed to be narrowly applicable. But enforcement creep is reality; remember how the Department of Homeland Security was going to appoint a "truth czar" earlier this year whose job description was a clear violation of the First Amendment (again it was disguised in innocuous terms)?
And most aren't even aware of how something called ESG is creeping into use. If you have the wit to imagine it's full, broad scope of control it's the most scary of all "programs". That's a social activity scoring system that assigns a "compliance rating" for social "responsibility". Again, it's intended to "save the planet" by identifying gross carbon polluters, but as always happens, the net expands. It may not happen, fully, within the lives of we old coots, but then again...................Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

Some 10 years ago the"kill" system was being tested in Sweden but it was a speed control system. When you drove into a "control zone" like a city or town the system would control your throttle essentially. So if they wanted 55 mph, that's all your car/truck would give you. Ain't computers great?!?!
It pissed me off enough that I fitted a stock 60's distributor in the coupe initially. That and carbs.. since I understand them too! LOL

Rolling smoke for show is asking for the EPA to make more laws. Our 8 employee shop got fined 90k for doing DEF deletes on ag equipment. The fine was much higher but they came too an agreement. The dumb thing is we thought being transparent about it would ease the fine, it did not. Other shops around us lied through their teeth about it and got nothing.

There's a guy SW of me that has deleted 75% most of all new pick ups and half the farm equipment in a large area and I heard he finally got spoken too. Supposedly he got off Scott free which I find very odd when some businesses are getting huge fines and jail time for just selling the parts.Ryan
