climate deal on refrigerants
Biden signs international climate deal on refrigerants.
Wonder how much this is going to cost us (and how less efficient it's going to be). Seems like we talked about this a few years ago when it was proposed.

I think it'll be like so many programs, us and a couple other countries will do what we said. But the majority of the other countries will say they need a study or they'll postpone for any number of seasons reasons years.... You know...kinda like what's the status quo so far!

Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I was going through HVAC school at the local tech college in the mid 90's when CFC's were banned. It was the opinion of our instructor, who'd been in the business for some 30 years, that DuPont's patent on them was expiring was the main reason they were under fire.
His explanation was that some scientific type convinced other scientific types that CFC's were causing the hole in the ozone layer over Antarctica. Probably collusion on the part of DuPont as the hole in the ozone layer is still there and supposedly expanding, sort of like the global warming hoax.
What it all boils down to is the consumer will take a hit in the pocketbook and scientific engineering types will attempt to justify their existence.Last edited by NTFDAY; 10-29-2022 at 02:30 PM.

I remember Dad saying the ozone hole was directly over an active volcano. Hmmm..
Education is expensive. Keep that in mind, and you'll never be terribly upset when a project goes awry.
