A Christmas Present
Well just got back from celebrating Christmas at my daughters house. It was a good time. All three Grandkids were there and I got to admit my oldest grandson Cades' gift to his sister had to be the best one.
Elise Turns 16 in Feb and has her learners learners permit. Her mom and Dad had been looking for a car for her. When asked what she wanted she said she would really like something like her Moms car (2014 Impala).
Cade had picked 2007 Impala a while back. The car was cheap due to a blown engine which he changed out with a moderately low mile engine from a pick-n-pull and swapped it in and had been driving the car for a while now.
He he cleared it with his mom a while back to give the Impala to Elise for a combined Christmas/Birthday present.
Today was the day. To say my granddaughter was in shock would have been an understatement.
This is her just before the first test drive in her "new" car (with Cade riding shotgun).
And yeah Grandpa's pretty proud of both of them.

Very cool, Mike. I'd say Grandpa's had some influence on Mr Cade through the years, and you should be proud.Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

I seem to have a recollection in my brain of a pic showing a pretty small Cade fiddlin' with a new to him tool box out in Gramp's shop some time back. Boy (and Gramps) done good.............Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon

Cade's added a few more tools but still has it.....it still lives in my shop until he gets his own first garage built. I'm looking forward to seeing that project come together.
Thanks for the kind words guys. The real credit for how the Grandkids turned out has to go to their Mom though. She is the one who's doing the real work.

It’s great seeing the younger generation following in the footsteps of their family. Especially when they are paying it forward to help someone out. Just proves that some do listen to us older folks now and then. Bet it makes you proud doesn’t it Mike?? …..,JoeDonate Blood,Plasma,Platelets & sign your DONORS CARD & SAVE a LIFE
