Look what showed up..........
...in my driveway this morning.
R2, aka Randy Ross is on the return leg of his two month long tour of the US in recently finished truck. Most of us enjoyed watching his online vlogs of the two and a half year long build process, but the finished product was worth every minute it took. This is really a well done ride. From the ground up the design and workmanship are first rate with a whole bunch of detail features and mods. The Coyote engine has a distinct sound with a low, mellow rumble...........ear music.
It was great to get to meet Randy in person finally, and he had his friend Matt who lives about an hour away with him. After crawling over the truck we retired to the shop for a bull session that was most enjoyable. All in all a good morning for this ol' dude. Thanks for stopping bye Randy, save trip home the rest of the way.Your Uncle Bob, Senior Geezer Curmudgeon
It's much easier to promise someone a "free" ride on the wagon than to urge them to pull it.

How cool is that!! I was hoping that R2 might swing north from his stop in Bolivar, MO to help a nephew with a home reno project, but the extra miles north really didn't make sense considering his SOCAL destination. Glad you got to put a face with the name, Uncle Bob. Very cool!!Roger
Enjoy the little things in life, and you may look back one day and realize that they were really the BIG things.

You can color me green with envy! I'd love to meet R2 and put an eyeball on the truck. Maybe next year?

Thanks, Uncle Bob!! It was really great to meet you in person after all these years!! Geez, how long has it been that we've all known each other on CHR? I think I started my '37 thread back in '07 and I bought this truck in '09. I didn't do the first 5.0 swap on it until 2012.
Anyway, this new rendition is a blast and I think after these past 2 months and 7000 miles, it seems to be roadworthy...LOL!
I promise the '37 is next. I just have to find a place where I can finish building it.
I hope to meet the rest of you guys sometime, too"It is not much good thinking of a thing unless you think it out." - H.G. Wells
I'm gonna need some Kiwi definition before I can laugh at this one!! What's "a skip" in Kiwi?
