    Hello Strangers!

Well, it's been about a month since I last signed in and I am now some 2400 miles to the southwest. We hauled almost everything we own in one trip to Alamogordo, New Mexico.

It's been grueling at times, the first 5 1/2 days we were rained on loading all our belongings into u-hauls and my truck and trailer. Here's a couple /few pics for tax.

My arm took a hit and it left a nasty bruise.. the garage as of last week. been working on it a few hours here and there. I'll try and post the updated pics tomorrow.

Congrats on making it happen! I don't envy your garage status! I'm still trying to get my barn/ shop back in shape after clearing the woodshop area to pour concrete! Do you have room for a back yard building?

Gotta feel good to get that phase behind you. Now you can set everything up like you want so that it's perfect.................yeah, right. Anyway, don't kill yourself.

moving my shop is why we decided to just ride it out here. moving a 3600 ft shop is just too much at my age. besides we're happy out here in the sticks.
glad you've got the move behind you. i just bought a second container for storage. best way to go.

I didn't mind the weather in New England most of the time but the winters could really drag us down. In our original plan we were going to sell the trailer we used to haul some stuff down here. Now it's become a storage unit and I don't see it going anywhere anytime soon! We've emptied it and checked the containers and if it wasn't needed yet, back in it went.

I had to buy another shelving unit and I had seen someone on the web got one of these long but narrow units with 5 "levels" and they used the middle level as a work bench - this I thought was a great idea, so I tried to copy it. And this completes clearing all the totes and boxes from the floor! There are still some in the trailer but now I've gained some floor space and can sort as I go. Here are some pictures - I "decorated" a bit and this helps get things off the shelves as well and makes a new hole to fill! Sorry in advance if they are sized to large. I was being lazy and let them out straight from the camera

    Progress report

It was a pretty decent day out so I gave the car a bath... WAY Overdue! Snapped a couple photos of the garage to share with you. Coming down to just a few boxes left of garage "stuff".. got it all put away- well almost. I realized later that 22 years ago I was washing this car in this exact driveway. I gotta make time to find those pics.

I took 3 pictures and this 1 wants to get posted crooked! IMG_20241207_ 08 small.jpg

I guess I "fixed it".. finally. Not sure what I did to fix it.. but, no matter. After a wash she looks much nicer.
