covering a car
i see a lot of cars covered with plastic in various threads. just a heads up. never use plastic for a cover. you may get away with it or you may destroy your paint job. plastic traps moisture and solvents under it and will eventually create bubbles .
back in the early 80s i was asked to look at a car for a collector. really nice Chevelle. car had bubbles and pimples all over the roof and some on the hood and truck. after talking with him i discovered he had his collection in a building and all were covered with plastic. he had over 20 cars in there. out of the 20 we found several starting to fail. my guess even more failed later on.
best cover is a cotton sheet. it wont trap solvents or moisture.
just food for thought and worth every penny.
